My commercial 45, which is mono, has a listed time of (3:02), but an actual time of (2:58).

Isn't there a difference between the 45 and lp versions of the song involving an overdub of some sort on either one or the other? I don't have my promo 45 of it anymore (it got cracked somehow a few years back, shortly after i got it on ebay, and i ended up tossing it out) so I don't remember what difference I had heard.

Tom, the LP version features handclaps starting at 1:24 every second beat until 1:46 when they are every beat; the 45 starts them at 1:33 and features them every beat; mixes are quite different too and the LP fades later. dunno if there's other differences.
