This song is available on a Japanese import and as an Amazon mp3 download. Comparing a fold-down of the download sample and my noisy mono 45 I can't conclude if the 45 is a dedicated mix but I lean that way.

Would like to know if the Amazon download is the original recording and not a re-recorded version. So the download is stereo?

In the US, do they sell the "What a Feeling" Series of CDs? It's all Canadian music, and the Original Caste is in the set with this song.

Sorry but that sample is absolutely NOT the authentic hit recording from Original Caste. In fact, none of the tracks are. Send me an email and I can provide you a sample of the record. |

Are you sure it's cleaned up vinyl? My recollection is that the album came from master tape and that all the bonus non-LP singles came from cleaned up vinyl (like "Ain't That Tellin' You People").

yes, if you listen right at the fades, you can hear vinyl. They DO sound very
good though...a good source was used, it sounds like my vinyl copy of that LP. |

So it's One Tin Soldier by the Non-Original Caste. |

What's still undecided is if the 45 is a fold-down or a unique mix. I may spring for the CD and experiment.
