The database currently describes the (4:12) version of "Hanginaround" on the CD, Films About Ghosts – The Best Of Counting Crows, as "with slightly longer ending than the original release". This is actually the 7-inch single version. The song was not commercially released in the U.S. in any other single format.

Good info, gentlemen. Counting Crows' "Hanginaround" only runs 4:07 on my Promo Only Mainstream Radio DJ CD subscription series so evidently this is the album length (though the track fades out completely here, unlike on the band's This Desert Life parent album where the applause ending presumably segues into the next track).
