I just recently obtained a very rare remix promo CD single for "Quit Playing Games (With My Heart)," and here are the details:

JDJ-42488-2
1. Jazzy Jim's Radio Edit (listed & actual 3:03)
2. E-SMOOOVE Vocal Edit (listed & actual 3:34)
3. Jazzy Jim's Mixxshow Slamma Mix (listed & actual 4:19)

Track 3 from this promo CD appears on Pepsi World - The Album, which is listed in Pat's database as simply "remix." In case he wishes to add the details, the Pepsi World CD contains an official promo CD version/mix.

The first issued promo CD was JDJ-42452-2, and it contains the LP Version and Instrumental. The listed and actual time is 3:52.

I have a double 12" vinyl single of this song, and there were many mixes of it on there (either 16 or 8), including a nice acapella version - which has appeared on a rare promo BSB CD, that I try to buy on ebay auctions on the rare occasions when it shows up, but always lose the auction. (It always goes for crazy high prices.)

I just learned that there are essentially two "main" versions of this. One with
Brian Littrell singing the second verse, and one with Nick Carter singing it.
From what I've read (Wikipedia mostly), Brian's was first and was included
on the first release of their 1996 international debut album and on the 1997
US debut album. The Nick Carter version was added to the later pressings
of their 1996 international debut album and to the 1998 rerelease of the US
debut album. Wikipedia states the the Nick Carter version was the single.
Our database states (for the reissue CD) "alternate Nick Carter vocal in the
2nd verse". All other versions are the Brian version.

So, can anyone chime in to verify which was was the single? It might be that
the US single differed from the International. The video version seems to be
Carter. This was one band that the US discovered after the rest of the world
(even though they were formed in Florida!).

I guess I didn't do a "Message Body" search on "Quit...".

My query has been answered.

Plus, I also learned something about "As Long As You Love Me"!

In Canada, I had the early issue of their first CD back in 1997.
