I just found out that this box set (Paul McCartney The 7"
Singles) was released late 2022. How am I just now
hearing about this? My biggest complaint is that it's not
available on CD, but thankfully it is available digitally
(but 159 tracks instead of 163).

I am mostly interested in "Coming Up (Live in Glasgow)"
(especially the final 21 seconds of crowd banter) and
also "Maybe I'm Amazed (live version)".
Now I am debating on whether to purchase the entire box
set or just those two tracks?

Robert Plant did the same thing a few years back
("Digging Deep" box set, also vinyl-only).

Is this a new trend? And if so, what else have I missed
out on and what else would you all love to see released
next? Which artists have the most rarest singles that
would warrant a new box set?

"Coming Up (Live)" is not the 45 mix on "The 7" Singles,"
it's a newer remix. However, the ending applause is not
remixed, it's from the single master, so you actually could
take that and tack it into the end of the original live mix
and have the 45 version.

"Uncle Albert" is incorrect, it actually is just the album
version faded out too late.

I haven't done a comparison of anything else on the set.

That's so disappointing! So it's looking like the 45 mix
will never be reissued. I wonder if the live version of
"Maybe I'm Amazed" is the 45 mix?

Is the 45 of "Maybe I'm Amazed" a different MIX of the LP
version (or just a specific fade in/fade out of applause)?

I recreated the promo version years ago and created an mp3
and always thought it was just edits of the longer version.
I didn't think there were any mix differences.

I meant to say I recreated the promo edit of Maybe I'm
Amazed from their live album.
