I found the same extended 12" mix on my Australian(?) import - "12" Mixes". Epic 450125-2. (I posted the cuts to make it 7" but just noticed that the top note in the thread already listed them.)

I think I posted this before, but just in case that I didn't.

If you take the "Make It Big" LP, The "Everything..." 12" and 45-rpm disc and play sections that are identical in all three (such as the musical interlude between the chorus and the second verse), you can slightly hear the build up of tape hiss and the deterioration of high-frequency response in each stage. This record set really demonstrates the fidelity changes of each generation of analog tape recording, like no other that I can remember.
Cheers,

Well, since the 12-inch is a different mix from the LP version, and would have been mixed from the multitrack tape just like the LP version, they are the same generation removed from the session tape. So that wouldn't account for the change in fidelity between the LP version and the 12-inch.

If anyone is interested, the single version of "Everything She Wants" is available on iTunes.

For those googling this compilation, the actual name is
"Twenty Five".
