Unless your copy is pitched up, it couldn't contain the full ending, as the full 45 runs (4:36). It sounds like the copy you have cuts three seconds from the ending.

I had forgotten that I had this CD: If You Were There - The Very Best Of Wham. It's a UK import, and "Edge Of Heaven" runs (4:37), although the last second is dead. The sound effects on this CD run to the (4:36) mark, and it sounds like everything is in tact.

That release does indeed have the longest running version of the three CD's I mentioned earlier, I mistakingly switched running times on the last two.

Ed, I have not, as my 45 of this song is long gone. I am only drawing my conclusions based on the info supplied in this thread.

If it's longer than the version on "The Final," it's the complete 45 version, as only the last word of the chatter is missing from "The Final."

Not only does it have the last word of the chatter, but it also has a few other background noises after the chatter (drumsticks perhaps?).

I noticed that "The Edge Of Heaven" finally got a proper
stereo treatment on the "Make It Big" blu-ray audio. Sounds
livelier than the original mix. By the way, it's the "long"
version discussed on this thread which was included.
