I'm stumped on this one. I'm listening to Cinderella
(uncensored 45 version) on the Greatest Hits CD and he sings "...and I said "G-d damn girl don't ya see..." I don't hear a "I-I-I-I saidyou (strum). |

Nor should you, John: you're not going to hear the censored portion if you're listening to the uncensored 45 version on Greatest Hits! Let me add more emphasis to what I'd posted just above: Here's how the line is sung on the censored version: "I-I-I-I saidyou [strum] damn..." Mondayitis, perhaps? ;) |

Haha, no Monday-I-I-I-I-tis.
What I was getting at was you can't create a true censored 45 version from the uncensored version because of the missing "saidyou (strum)." |

Sadly, radio now only plays 1 or 2 Firefall songs and
this isn't one of them. I always liked this song and never really heard it on air after the Spring of 1977. BTW, Yah Shure's fly in edit was spot on. |

Thinking back to your comment from just one day earlier, John: when I heard "Cinderella"'s opening guitar strums on the radio this afternoon, I laughed out loud, then quickly realized I 'd better pay attention to see which version it would be. Turned out to be the uncensored 45. In fairness, the classic hits/oldies station in question plays a broader selection than most. But still... |
