CD entries in the database for Bobby Sherman's "Little Woman" range from 2:19 to 2:26. Does anyone have any info regarding the actual vinyl 45 and LP run times? I'm wondering if we're dealing with a difference in length between the two.

My promo 45 which is mono, has a listed time of (2:22) but an actual time of (2:27)
There is no stereo side to this promo. I compared it to the Bobby Sherman's Original "Greatest Hits" LP. (I do not have the Little Woman LP or the stock single)That LP by the way had a listed time of (2:22) and an actual time of (2:26) The mono promo 45 is pitched up considerably in comparison to the Greatest Hits LP. You hear a little more of the recording on the promo 45 because it is pitched up and therefore has a later point in the performance for fade out. So we may have some CDs that pitched up the track, some maybe didn't, I'm not sure, but the Greatest Hits LP needs to be sped up by at least 2% in Adobe Auditon to match the promo 45's pitch. |

What are the deadwax markings for your 45, jim? is the flip side stereo too? I know the B side of my 45 is mono but i have not ever played the A side of it, and it is a stock copy...i'll have to dig it out after work tomorrow and compare it, if i can remember to. Edited by TomDiehl1 |

My deadwax info for "Little Woman" is "ZTS 144418-1L STEREO." Guess that takes the mystery out of that one, Tom. My commercial 45's flip side, "One Too Many Mornings", also both states on the label, and is in fact stereo, and similarly ends its deadwax info with "STEREO".

My single of "Little Woman" has a different flip called "Love".
When I get the chance to find it I'll see if it matches the numbers given earlier. |

The trail out of Little Woman on my 45 reads ZTSP-144763 followed by a backwards S in a circle, followed by backwards writing, the numbers of which (when shown normally) would be, i think, 18950. It is a styrene pressing and the matrix numbers are hand written. It has a listed time of 2:22 and a playing time of 2:26. The audio gets really low at 2:23 but upon blasting my digital dub for the fade out i can hear the song continue to 2:26. This was the first time I had played that side of the disc, i had purchased it for the Bob Dylan tune on the flip side. Now that I know a stereo 45 is out there of this pairing, i will certainly be on the look out for it.
