Senator Bobby-"Wild Thing"

My commercial 45, confirmed as Parkway 127, has a listed time of (2:30), but an actual time of (2:40). My 45 is vinyl, with deadwax info of "Parkway" (in handwriting) 127-A. It was also disappointing for me to just notice in the db that the only legitimate CD that includes this song is "missing a kazoo overdub".

I have two copies of this 45, a vinyl pressing with the old Parkway label style (this is a promotional copy) and a styrene stock copy with a plain orange label...I will have to find what I've done with both of them and compare them to the cd source to see how they sound. I don't actually recall ever hearing a kazoo on the song eve, but then I didn't grow up with it when it was popular....

I have a version of this on a CD entitled "One Hit Wonders: A Novelty Experience" and it also does not contain the kazoo.

The "One Hit Wonders" CD is a great source for novelty hits of the '50s and '60s. Is it an import, as it's not in the database? The CD has no notations about where it is from.

For what it's worth, my 45 of "Wild Thing" by Senator Bobby (Parkway
127) also contains the kazoo. My deadwax info matches jimct's in post
#1, Parkway (in cursive) 127-A. But if you keep going, about an inch
later it reads "J.A.", followed a few inches later by (delta symbol)
64840.

I too wonder about an album. Since the flip was by Senator Everett
McKinley, you gotta wonder if there was enough material to cover a
whole album, although I see "Senator Bobby" had one other (very
minor) chart hit on Parkway with "Senator McKinley".

I have a couple other singles by the H-W players...one of which is "Senator Bobby" doing "Mellow Yellow" b/w a parody of "Silent Night/7:00 News" (no Senator on this one). The other is just an unfunny novelty song.
