While not in the database it did chart at #37 (1972) on BB. My question is, is the version on her greatest hits vol. 2 cd the 45 & if not does it appear in that form anywhere else.

Pat only includes songs that made the top 40 in BOTH Cash Box and Billoard, and "Sweet Inspiration/Where You Lead" only hit #41 in Cash Box.

But, yes, to my knowledge, the version on her "Greatest Hits Vol 2" is the 45 version.

Unrelated, but I think this song provides more evidence that, as Randy Price claims, Cash Box was still a completely sales-based chart in 1971.

"Sweet Inspiration/Where You Lead" peaked in Billboard a full month after its Cash Box peak, and it had dropped off the Cash Box chart completely a full two weeks before it hit its PEAK in Billboard.

Since one would assume that Billboard and Cash Box received reports from roughly the same radio statoins, that doesn't seem to make sense, unless airplay was not a component in Cash Box at that time.

Thanks for the info on the song, but as far as songs only being listed in the DB if it made it to #40 on both charts. "The Way It Used To Be" by Engelbert Humperdinck only made it to #42 on BB, yet it's listed. My understanding is it's a composite of both charts.

This is a live recording and the opening applause fades in later and ending applause fades out earlier on the 45 than on the Greatest Hits Vol. 2 CD, but they sound like the same recording to me.
