John, I just listened to the track from the CD you mentioned online and the double tracked vocals don't sound the same as they do in the linked 45. I'll send you a copy for your thoughts... |

Thanks John and you're quite right: the Ace CD uses the same old CD version (but folded to mono) instead of the actual 45. So hang onto those vinyl UK or styrene US 45s for this one. |

What sounds to me like the 45 version is on the recently released Cast Your Fate To The Wind: The Singles, B-Sides, & Rarities on which it is called 'original 7" version'. (I'm not sure if it's a digital only release.) It also includes what sounds like the common alternate take, called 're-recorded version'.
