my commercial 45 issued as wing 871722 contains a non described version listed and running as 4:09.....it is just a fade of the full lp version....this 45 info should be added to the db....

I just want to confirm this is simply an early fade of the LP version before I feel compelled to track down the 45 (I don't have it).
This video on YouTube cuts out a segment from 3:45.7 to 4:10.3 of the LP version (on the video, it's at the 3:48 mark). I believe the edit is on the drum machine snare. Since the video extends out to about 4:15, I'm guessing this isn't the single version regardless. But that edit has me wondering. And to recreate the 45 edit, where does the (early) fade begin? I'll hang up and listen. This is a nice, forgotten R&B song, by the way. |

OK, I liked this song enough to purchase the 45. There is indeed an edit in the single version, from 3:45.7 to 4:10.3 -- like the video. However, the (abrupt) fade is exactly how edtop40 describes it. FYI.
