You changed Eagles' "Take it to the Limit" from "LP length" to "LP version". (I always thought it faded, too). What part of the song is edited out -- or is it a different mix?

The ending choruses are edited AND rearranged (and an early fade) on the 45 (same mix).

Any way to pinpoint which ending choruses are included and in what order before the fade? Might take some heavy-duty A-Bing. :)

Like Doug, I too would like to know which ending choruses are included and in what order, so that I can make my own single edit. Could anyone who has the dj edit let us know? Thanks.

Hi People,
I never owned the 45, but the edit points are etched in my mind. The edit/rearrangement is too taxing to describe in print so I'll just edit it in Sound Forge. If any of the posters here need to hear it, email me at etidjATverizon.net (sub the AT for @). Andy |

Reviving this one, I took some time today to recreate the 45 version. It is tricky, but with patience, can be done.

Was there a difference between the promo and commercial 45s on this? Offhand, I can't think of any Eagles songs where the promo copy was a different edit than the commercial one (other than "Lyin' Eyes" having the album version on one side). |

The promo 45 is the same as the commercial 45. I just dubbed a copy that states 3:48 and runs 3:46.

The 45 version is found on a UK BBC Radio promo Eagles collection called Best Of The Eagles. Sounds pretty good, too.
I don't have the CD myself, though, so I don't have any other details. Edited by crapfromthepast |

There's a lot of crap on the radio, but there's only one Crap From The Past.
