On both of the CDs listed in the database that contain the song "Starbright" by Johnny Mathis, the song runs (2:43). I timed my U.S. commercial 45 (Columbia 41583) at (2:49). (It would still be a few more years before Columbia would start printing run times on their commercial 45s.) On the one CD I have, Encore: 16 Most Requested Songs, the song runs about 3% faster than my 45.

The recent "Singles" set states the run time as the correct 2:49, yet the
comment is still there (faster). If true, then the song must fade later than the 45? |
