This might be the pickiest one yet, but I just heard an extra fraction of a second note on the beginning of this song that isn't on the 45. For lack of a better way to explain it, the 45 starts with a single bell or chime note and the CD version starts with a "p-plink" or double note. Other than that the two sound the same. (Hey, I told you it was picky...)

On what cd? The one I had heard off of cd (*i do not know which cd) didn't have a double note at the beginning.

It's on "For The Lonely: 18 Greatest." I haven't checked any of the others it's on. You've got to listen real carefully, though. I missed the first 457 times I listened.
