I can confirm that the 45 has no dropout at 3:37.
I have the song on Madacy's Rock On 1987 and two separate multi-disc European collections on Disky called Greatest Hits Of The '80s. The Disky collections run about five seconds longer than the US collection. All have the dropout at 3:37. I do have one disc that doesn't have the glitch at 3:37. It's a largely instrumental version of the song, with no vocals at all during the verses. It's on a fairly obscure British 2-CD collection of deliberately awful songs called Chegger's Choice (1999). Way to go, Chegger's Choice! I will send this version to Aaron for surgery. |
