I only have one of the CDs listed in the database with Gonzalez's "Haven't Stopped Dancing Yet" (Lost & Found in the Seventies - Disco). The database lists the version on that CD as the 45 version.

However, my actual 45 is substantially different than the version on this CD. The 45 is a completely different mix, and the vocals don't start until :24 in, versus the :11 mark on the Lost & Found CD. I don't have the LP version of this song, so I have no idea what the version on the CD is. But it looks like the database entries for this song need to be revisited.

Has anyone else compared the 45 of this song to the other entries in the database?

there are 2 different 45s each with a different mix.
the one on Capitol 4647 "bubbled under" at #106, while a later mix on Capitol 4674 was the hit version and made the top 40.

Good info, thanks! My 45 is Capitol 4674 and definitely matches what I remember from the radio, so it appears I have the "hit" version. Maybe the ones listed in the database are the earlier, non-hit 45 version?

Do any of the CDs contain the hit version?

Good catch here gang. Yes my orginal entry in the database was based on my dj 45 which is Capitol 4647 and not Capitol 4674. The database has been corrected and to answer the question of do any cd's contain the hit 45 version the answer is no.

The CD I have this song on is called "Haven't Stopped Dancing Yet", a various artist comp on CEMA Special Products (if I recall) and clocks in at 3:42. Pat's book doesn't list this CD at all, so I'm not sure which version this is but it clocks in at the same time as all other CD versions, so it's probably the album version. Can anyone with the "hit version" 45 ( Capitol 4674 ) tell us how long that 45 is?

As if this song needs any more twists, I just received my stock copy of the Capitol 4674 "hit" version. But unlike Ed's and Roscoe's stock copies, my commercial 45 has a listed time of (3:45), but an actual time of (4:56)! My copy's deadwax info is "S45-60020 D G-5". I remember, at one point back in the 80's, a local record shop (of which I was a regular, of course) asked me if I happened to have a "great shape" 12" single for this song. I told them that I did, and they immediately offered me $100 for it! The 12" single is where the "hit" remix version was edited from. Luckily, I didn't sell, and I've still got that 12". I think that was the only time a retail store ever asked ME if I had a used copy (LONG before used bins became popular) of a specific version of a song; no doubt for another good customer...
