Interesting collection. Nice that someone is making the
radio edits available.

I wonder if "Take Your Time (Do It Right)" is a disc dub or
if they were able to find the master tape. That UK company
that reissued all the S.O.S. Band remasters a couple years
ago couldn't find a tape source.

It would indeed be great if someone took their time (and did it right).

You'll be pleased to know, we did it right.

It was pretty apparent the Tabu owners did not have this
tape. So it made sense the master tape never moved from
where it was stored in the early 80's. At the time Tabu
was distributed by CBS. We had Universal contact Sony and
provided them the matrix# of the 45. The tape was there,
untouched since 1980. Sony kindly dubbed the tape. It was
in pristine condition (I assume it had to be baked).
Sometimes all you have to do is ask.
There ya have it.

Thanks for that info Mark. Another reason to order this release (plus volume 16 as well).

I'm a little confused by the (1988 version) of "Red Red Wine." I always assumed the 3:01 edit (an early fade of the version on the parent LP Labour of Love, I believe) was released in 1983 on 45, but in 1988 they issued the (original 1983) LP version on 45 (which runs 5:21 or thereabouts). Was the '88 release a remix? Or is this just to imply it's the full 5:21 version?

It's the latter. They are wanting to clarify that it's the version that was the hit in 1988, which is indeed the 1983 full LP version.
