Hmmmm. I thought I re-created the DJ edit with no problem last year. I'll check my work when i get home to see what I missed.
No kidding about it being sped up ... the promo was sped up by almost a full semi-tone which is drastic. But it sounds much punchier that way. |

It's hard to tell that there's a difference, but if you line them up in the multi-tracker, you can hear (and see) that they don't perfectly line up. What they did on the 12" (and stock 45) version is loop the same segment twice. On the 12"/stock 45 the segment from 0:04 to 0:54 is note-for-note identical to the segment that extends from 1:02 to 1:53. In fact, if you overlap those two segments, you get a weird phasing effect. That's not true of the promo 45.
