Pat, my commercial 45, which is mono, has a listed time of (2:44) and an actual time of (2:43). I only post this because the database currently specifies for this song that "45s state a time of (2:44), but actually run (2:50)." My commercial 45's deadwax info is "01605".

I do not have the commercial copy of this 45 Jim but my dj copy on the mono side runs (2:43) while on the stereo side it runs (2:50) even though the label states a running time of (2:44) on both sides

Just got a stereo Collectables 45 in for this. Anyone have any knowledge - did they use the LP or stereo 45 version for this?

It appears to be the stereo LP version, running 2:55.
Besides mono/stereo mix differences, can the LP version be edited to match the 45 length? |

After hearing the edits (thanks, Bill), I chose the stereo 45 edit.
Very simple to recreate the stereo 45 version. Keep 00:00-03.00 Delete 03.00-06.57 Keep 06.57-2:55.00 Edited by eriejwg |

The 45 fades a bit earlier than the LP version too.

Is the stereo DJ 45 side of "Keeper of the Castle" identical to the LP version?

I'm 99.9% sure it is, Todd. The difference is in the intro. The LP/stereo 45 starts with FOUR, 7-note electric guitar segments, before the drums kick in with the first loud, "bum-bum-bum-bum" sequence. But for both the mono promo & stock 45's, the opening electric guitar segments have been sliced down, from four to just two. I haven't checked on the "earlier mono promo/stock 45 fade" info that Grant posted earlier in this thread. Assuming it is true, though, I believe the two versions to be otherwise identical.
