Favorite Decade for Music

First off, I'm semi-sort of new here. I had an account some years ago that I can no longer access. 

1985-1995.
The 80s are way overrated in my ears. I love them, but can't ignore that the 90s were quite cool in so many aspects (especially for women in music, from Mariah to Alanis, etc).
Anyway, I can't ignore the 60s & 70s because of its wonders and how their artists and music inspired much of what I adore of the timeline I chose.

I voted '80s, but it's probably closer to 1975-1985 for me. Every few years, the pop world has brilliant years (1967, 1972, 1979, 1983). I suppose my absolute favorite time frame is stuck right between two of these years, in 1979-1983.

Much of my sweet-spot soul (Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind & Fire, Chic, etc.) is mid-to-late '70s.

Much of my melodic rock favorites (38 Special, Squeeze, Martin Briley, Saga, Pretenders) are early '80s.

Much of my *least* favorite pop also is early '80s (the endless Air Supply singles, "Endless Love", the somewhat anonymous songs that seemed to serve no other purpose than filling a spot on a playlist like "Say What" by Jesse Winchester, the Stars On 45 and the other medleys). To me, the innovation of 1982-1983 outweighs the doldrums of 1980-1982.

All just my opinions, of course. All time frames have good and bad, but the 1979-1983 good stuff provokes an emotional response in me that the other time frames don't.

My fave time period is 1964 - 1974, but of course there are always great tunes before and after. So I voted for the 60s...
