There's a Japanese import CD called Kim Carnes "Best Now" (Catalog# TOCP-9135) that has a 4:05 version of "Draw of the Cards" on it. Does anyone know if this would be the correct 45 edit? If anyone wants a copy to compare, please feel free to PM me.

I no longer have the 45 needledrop that I used in 2014 to come up with the edit points, so I can't say definitively.
My recreation from 2014 has a trill at 0:16, heading into a downbeat. Thanks to Back2TheFuture, I can confirm that Best Now lacks the trill at 0:16. Best Now has its left and right channels swapped, compared to the 8-CD European set from Disky called More Greatest Hits Of The '80s (2000). Best Now also sounds like it uses a much higher-generation tape source than the Disky set. The video that Gene posted also lacks the trill. I think the only way to tell what's correct is with a true needledrop of the 45. Anyone out there with the 45? |

There's a lot of crap on the radio, but there's only one Crap From The Past.
