	Thank you for the new run time info, ed. Sometimes there are discrepancies between my run time info and others. Then we may be able to encounter any new findings for different pressings. I have learned here that there are two or more pressings of U.S commercial 45s. So I have clocked some 45s of multiple possessions with the same turn table. For example, "KENNY LOGGINS-Danger Zone 3:32 & 3:33", "SHEENA EASTON-Modern Girl 3:31 & 3:32", "OUTLAWS-(Ghost) Riders In The Sky 3:36 & 3:37", "TOTO-I Won't Hold You Back 4:34 & 4:35" etc. --abagon

	Are there mix differences between the 45 and LP? The db indicates LP and 45 "versions." Any info would be appreciated!

	bumping this one back up. There are two distinct 45 mixes. I think one is a US edit of the LP and the other is an an edit of the New York Mix. Both are about the same duration. It's much more pumped and jazzed up with horns etc. This is the version I heard most in the NY area back in the 80's. It's also the version used in the video. The question I have is there a way to find the New York Mix edit on cd? The quality of the pressing on vinyl is rather awful, at least the import 12"record I purchased. Anyone able to shed some light on this? Edited by promojunkie

	Are you saying that some 45s are pressed with a remix while others are not? Is there any way to distinguish between the pressings?

	To my knowledge, the New York Mix and single version are found on non US 12" records. The stock US 45 is an edited LP version. Both single mixes are listed as 4:03 on most vinyl pressings US or abroad (various 45 and 12" pressings) (some list as 3:58) and are listed as being remixed by Steve Thompson & Michael Barbiero. However, there are definitely two different mixes. I was only familiar with the jazzier/pumped up version from the official video and NY radio. You can hear the difference especially in the first 20 seconds of each. I don't see any evidence on discogs of another US promo 45 with this mix nor have I found it on any compilation discs. I own the US stock 45 which is the lp edit. I can't be certain which mix is on the promo 45 because I don't own it and they are about the same length. I'm curious which version other radio markets play during '86-87. Edited by promojunkie

	When time permits, I'll look through my promo 45s to see if there's a second promo with the remix. On Discogs, the promo and stock 45s both have a label matrix of ZSS 175492, which would indicate the mixes on them are the same. These 45s also say "Additional production and mixed [sic] by Steve Thompson & Michael Barbiero." Although it doesn't say "remixed," the "additional production" note makes me wonder what "additional" stuff was done to it. Based on what's been reported here, the answer is that it's only editing of the LP mix/version. To confuse matters even more, both the New York Mix on the US & UK 12" and the "Single Mix" on the UK 12" have the same credit as the US 45: "(Additional production and) mixed by Steve Thompson & Michael Barbiero." I do have the US promo 12", so again, when time permits, I can play the "Single Version" on Side B to see if it's any different from the 45.

	The US promo 7" on Discogs has a note saying there are different mixes on each side. I, too, have the US promo 12", but I don't have any 7" to compare it to. Edited by mjb50

	Sadly, my US promo 45 has the same LP edit version on both sides, irrespective of what the Discogs entry claims. Matrix numbers are also the same. Andy
